When I’m Gone
I never thought it would end like this… Its been what, 3 weeks or so now. I still feel terrible, I feel like it’s all my fault… and worst of all, we don’t even talk anymore, probably my fault too. It’s like every relationship I’m in, I fuck it up somehow. I mean we tried, we tried so damn hard, but it just wasn’t enough. I don’t know what went wrong… I just wish that if it had to end, that it didn’t have to end this way… I wish we could have ended on a good note, continued to talk instead of completely ignoring each other. Well, she might be ignoring me, getting over me, putting me out of her head, but I still think about her. I can’t help it. When it comes down to it, I don’t want to stop thinking about her. We were so good together, and now I’m a mess. I miss her, I wish it didn’t have to end. It sounds like she hates me now too. I tried to save her from her ex, who just toyed with her heart. I tried to show her that there was true love out there, and that things could be better, but now she doesn’t want anything to do with her, because I’ve caused so much pain. I don’t know what to do. What can I do? Will she even see this? Who knows. Not like it will change anything if she does. I don’t think I’ll ever be over her. I don’t think I can ever love like I loved her, and still DO love her, because when I said forever and always… I meant it.
So yea… just found out that my gf’s parents still arent letting me come down… I havent seen her in almost 4 months now… her dad hates me, and her mom doesnt seem to like me much either, but I cant let this stop us, and what we have. I love her, and despite this obstacle in our lives, I have to do what it takes to keep this relationship going… I told her forever and always, and damnit I’m going to keep that promise. I owe her everything, shes been there when I needed her, shes given up so much for me… she LOVES me… I owe it to her to do whatever it takes, to not give up, and give it my all to keep this love we have alive… I love her, and I WILL see her again…

I swear, John Krasinski is absolutely brilliant. Just finished watching his movie “Brief Interviews with Hideous Men” which he directed and had this beautiful monologue in. It’s available on instant Netflix so you might as well take two hours and watching this fascinating film.
Hands down the best scene in the entire movie. John was flawless here and handled this monologue triumphantly. Ladies and gentlemen, talent. Right here.
